Hi all !
I'm having a problem with my TiBook 800/1GB. Apparently, it stopped obeying the Energy Saver settings, and won't go to sleep automatically when unplugged (I tried setting the sleep delay to 1 min and stared at it for like 10 minutes - nothing happened).
I thought that might have to do with certain user processes taking up CPU, so I created a new user from scratch and tried from his session, to no avail.
My Powerbook does go into sleep when physically asked to (Power button or menus or whatever).
Anyone has any ideas how I could find the source of this bug ? I tried disabling Airport, resetting the PMU, etc.
Thanks in advance

Apparently we're alone with this issue. What's your exact setup ?

My problem is a little different, but I'm curious.
I have a 500mhz Tibook; 500mb RAM. Recently, turn on Tibook and get fans etc..., but no screen. I reset PMU, reset parameter RAM, and had tried to install Tiger to no avail.
At first, resetting PMU would get my screen up, but now it just sits on the grey apple screen with spinning startup. In hindsight, the first time I got the machine up I should've repaired priveleges etc...,but then a few times it would start up then give me kernal panic. Now, it won't startup at all and my Tiger disk is stuck in the drive.
I wanted to add; once I started it up after resetting PMU and it booted into the root with blinking cursor. This is when I get reeeeaaaaal lost.

Weird thing is this... for some reason, having updated to 10.4.5 it fixed itself - was working perfectly. Now yesterday (for some stupid reason) I decide to clear the system cache to free up some HDD space.
Bang... problem is back!
Occasionally I have to restart the 'book when its loading up, but not often. Its a little grizzled, my 2003 1GHz TiBook, SD, 512MB RAM, but still...
Oh and I did drop it a couple of weeks back (maybe that fixed it...)
