I just got this message when trying to verify my Macintosh HD.
Is there anything I should/can do myself with this? Or should I just take it into Apple?
If I do, are they likely to repair the HDD, or replace it with a new one.

OK it might have to do with Adobe's "Legal" folder. Some language in there caused the problem. So just delete the Legal folders from your Adobe apps will solve it. If that's not the case... You can boot up with your Tiger DVD and do a disk repair.
