I know there have been a few threads on this, but none quite in this gray of an area. Maybe this question is just for Ti owners...

My 3 year Applecare on my 1ghz Ti is running out next month. There are some small problems - the trackpad button goes through phases of sticking, the white paint on the hinge is half peeled off, and the metal around the handrest is slightly coming up. So, mostly cosmetic problems. Tech wise, all is well.

So do you think I should send it in? Does Apple still (or ever) replace the hinge if it's just cosmetic? Or do I risk bigger problems coming back? Any Ti owners specifically, I'd love your knowledge/thoughts...
