Follow the link posted above and go to 'Apple Refurbished' under the 'Special Deals' section on the left-hand side of the site. They have two different iBook models available right now - the current 1.33GHz model for a steal @ $799 and an older 1GHz model that is selling for $699.

Items available at the Refurbished store change often - so look frequently.

amazon.com usually has rebates on the laptops, you have to wait 8 weeks to get your money back, but after rebates they sometimes come close enough to a refurbished price.

if you're close to a microcenter location, they sometimes have sales on discontinued stock. that's how i got my 1.33 AlPB for the same price as a 12" ibook.

If you are attending a college (or know someone who is...) check with the college bookstore. I have seen great deals on previous generation Macs at college bookstores: how about a new Rev B 20" iMac for $799? That was available at UC Irvine about a month ago; the 64 iMacs went like hotcakes.

I got my new G4 iBook 12" for $649 when the price for current generation iBook was $999. $350 savings is really good, even though I had to buy an Airport card (the $999 iBooks came with Airport.)
