Very nice indeed. Dumb question ... is the white brick looking thing part of the power supply.

Thanks. The reason I asked is that it appears in your picture that the power cord seems to be in the middle area and I can see the new mag connection end the other end looks like the male end for the wall plug. How is the brick connected to it? Sorry if this seems like a dumb question. Thanks again.

It's pretty much identical to the previous powerbooks, but larger. The power supply usually plugs directly into the wall (the brick end) and the cable goes to the Mac. However, most people find this length entirely too short, so Apple includes an extension cable. The brick then sort of sits between the wall and the computer.

Actually you are supposed to use the extension cable at all times and only plug the brick in directly when that is you only option. Apple recommends this because the extension cable has a ground while the brick does not. This is from the MacBook Pro users manual.
