title says it all, I need advice about what model to get aimed to replace the SuperDrive comes with the 17 inches PB 1.33 GHz beast, I did some search here and there but nevertheless I have still some questions looking for answers…

would be this one OK as it seems?, I live outside the USA but I have dealed with the OWC folks in the past and they are, indeed, really nice.

What is up with those 'cable mods' to force master mode?, needless to say it must boot holdind 'C' key down.

If the drive is quiet and burn just cd/dvd media not my pants… would be AWESOME.

I have read Pioneer DVR-K06 is also a good choice.

BTW… does the built-in superdrive of this particular model (PowerBook 17" 1.33 GHz support DVD DL +R ? I burned a DL DVD+R disc and it seems the PowerBook has some issues trying to read it. Same happens (can't read it) with the DVD drive inside my MDD G4.
