Not sure if this is the right forum, but anyway... We've seen a budget Mac (the Mac mini), so will we see a budget laptop?

I know most people think there will be a tablet Mac, but is there any chance it would be a miniature iBook with a 8"-ish screen and a keyboard without a trackpad? Something like the Psion 7? Would it sport a touch-sensitive screen like this Psion?

More interestingly, would there be any competitors in this size of notebook?

I don't think the odds of seeing anything like the psion. There seems to be little interest in apple developing a PDA, and given the current market, its probably a good reason to stay out.

as for an affordable laptop like the mini, the ibook is apple's low cost laptop. Apple doesn't need more models fragmenting their market.
