well i finally did it, ordered a 12 inch ibook today, got the video adapter to hook it up to my tv's too

first mac ive ever really owned(bought a imac for 25 at a grage sale, was crashed didnt have the os cd for it and needed a firmware update to run osx so sold it still bad for 60 hehe) probally max the memory out very shortly. what is it one slot? i know its 1.5 max so what do i need to ugrade it?

hopefuly it works out good for home and school got a toshibia m35x but its pretty big and heavy, been building and fixing and uses pc's for a long time, hopefully ibook treats me well. was playing with a 20 inch imac at the comp store, was quite nice, maybe if i like the i book ill get a imac or a mac mini to hook up to my 19 inch flat scren crt

this will part of its new home, as i live in my dads basement, i have quite the space to use, so when its not in the comp area itll porbally be on the bed, as most ibooks are i see

You may want to think about hanging on till April 1st, when Apple is to announce new products. The likelyhood is that the new iBook will be out then, with a Core Sole 1.5 Ghz (guesses based on new Mac Mini), and DDR2 memory, which will make the whole system much faster. A SATA hard drive at 5400 RPM will also improve speed (again, speculation, as that is what the mini now has).

Personally, I would wait, as I have an iBook G4, and its fine, but really, not very fast
iMac Core Duo 1.83 Ghz | 1.25GB RAM | 160HD, MacBook Core Duo 1.83 Ghz | 13.3" | 60HD | 1.0GB RAM
