Hello,
I will soon be in Orlando, FL for a week on a work-based trip and am interested in purchasing RAM (iBook G4 800Mhz) from a store while in the States. My credit cards are European and as such, the online US stores won't accept orders based on them and hardly any online stores ship to Europe. I am currently getting by with 256MB of RAM and it's somewhat...painful.
I have done the research and I know the Apple Stores in Orlando offer 512MB for $150 and Crucial (my only European online option) offers 512MB for around $120. I was therefore hoping someone knew of an actual bricks-&-mortar store in Orlando area that I could walk into with my iBook and buy a 512MB RAM stick (hopefully for less than $120-150). Also, do 1GB sticks work with my iBook? Anyone have any experience with that?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Spiros

Yes - 1GB sticks would work just fine.
If you can find one, go to a CompUSA store or Fry's - both of these retailers have Macintosh departments so they should know what they're talking about.

So,
Best buy, compusa and frys. Thanks guys for the quick responses. I've been looking through their websites and i must say, the prices are pretty good. Now to see about the quality. The reason I only have 256MB is because I have had problems with bad RAM and kernel panics in the past. I hope they will let me try the stick before purchasing.

In Orlando... Either Best Buy, CompUSA, Circuit City, or one of the two Apple Stores. The Apple Stores are at Mall at Millennia and The Florida Mall... Good luck!
