I got the idea to take the 512 sodimm out of my dell laptop and put it in my powerbook. It is slightly slower (266 v 333) than the pb ram, but i figured I rather have 768mb of ram running at 266mhz than 512 at 333. When i turned my pb back on, it said i only have 256 mb. It didnt detect it at all. Yes, it was originally in the dell laptop, but samsung manufactured it, so idk why that happenend.

any ideas?
PB12 / 1.5 / 80 / 1.25 / SD

I don't think the PBs memory controller will let you run at a lower speed.

Not appearing could be due to not being supported (PB refuses to OC the RAM) or not being well seated (push it in harder).

Memory cannot be the "limiting agent" on a computer. That means you memory must be at least as fast as your system bus. So if you have a 333mhz bus, you need at least PC-2700 (333mhz) RAM for your system.

Peace,

O
B unce!
