Just a quick question...

Does anyone notice a hiss coming from their MBP speaker system?

When not plugged into the wall my MBP emits a mild hiss which only stops when the HDD spins up. My previous laptop (Acer TravelMate 8104WLMi) did this too which was due in part from the RealTek HD sound chip which picked up noise from local internal hardware (ie HDD).

Since this is my first Mac, I was just wondering if this is common as well for Macs.

Let me know.
