Anyone heard the MBP's fans yet?

I've yet to hear mine - and I've pushed to CPU to 70%+ by running Photoshop filters, mulitple iMovie FX, and a few other apps all at once. Still no fans. Unless I'm so used to really loud PC fans that don't even notice them.

The computer runs fine - so they must be working properly, it just seems a little wierd.

my mbp is very quiet. Fan came on higher once, but I was really pushing it.

My fans are on often.
However I live in Sydney where summer only just ended...

I've realised that the annoying groaning/whirring sound that I'm hearing all the time are my fans starting up and then immediately quitting. It's very distracting. It must be the fans because just now they came on for a slightly longer period for the first time.

I know the sound you're talking about, mintcake. It usually only lasts a few seconds. Do you think it's a malfunction or normal (it doesn't seem to effect performance)?
