Well, I tried to fix my 17" Powerbook LCD and had no luck. So, I just took it off, now I have the flattest mac mini ever made. All I have to do now is figure out a way to run the wires that pick up bluetooth and airport.

Just wanted to post one last thread here in honor of my dead lcd and my new skinny desktop. It is strangely enough my 1000th post too.

You might be able to pick up a display assembly on eBay. I did this when my Pismo's LCD started having problems.

It's still a "transportable"! Most hotels have free usage of business center computers.... just plug in their monitor and hack away!
