Just got my new MBP retiring my old pismo... I travel quite a bit mostly long legs (US - Asia)
I as scrambling to get an airline adapter for it... to no avail... I have Targus for my old pismo... but they don't have the tip for MBP yet....
Prolly still so new... they're still working on it.... oh well...

I would look into the iGo chargers; they provide power to your notebook and other peripherals using interchangeable tips. They're also sold at RadioShack.

Whoops-- I just realized you're talking about the MBP, and since it has a new connector, probably won't work too well with iGo--yet. They'll come up with a connector soon, hopefully. Sorry.

Yeah the igo is no-go right now ;-) Out of curiosity what Airline do you fly that has power adapters? I only ever have the power connectors in first class setting. Wouldn't it be wiser to get a second battery? You can use a second battery anywhere, car, airplane, middle of field, anywhere!

As has been pointed out in other threads, a stop-gap measure would be to get a power inverter that works on aircraft power and then just plug your MBP AC adapter into it.

I usually fly United... upgrade from economy to business class... they do have laptop power outlets (targus igo etc will work fine) use it all the time when I still use my Pismo...
Second battery is a good suggestion... but my flights are sometimes up to 15 hours long (chicago to hongkong)

IIRC, Virgin Atlantic have power adaptors in all classes on most planes. Its been a while since I have travelled in economy with them, but I know for definate Premium Economy and Upper has them. British Airways also have power adaptors in 3 out of their 4 classes (not economy)

the only thing is that plus the MBP power brick together becomes quite a bulge next to your hip on the airplane hehehe
Thanks
