Hello,
I mentioned in a previous post that my trusty PowerBook is dead. I keep getting a Kernel panic whilst booting.
I can boot into the hardware test.
The hardware test tells me there is a problem with the Video ram and the error code is 2NVD/1/4 212.

Is this fatal or is there a solution (new firmware etc) that will fix the problem.

Any idea how much a repair may be?

ps. ive just checked the warranty... it runs out today!!

If it really is the VRAM, you would need a whole new motherboard. If I had to guess what the single most expensive and hard to replace part of the computer is, I'd say it's that. Maybe the LCD, but probably that.

That f*ucking sucks.
