Anyone has this same problem? When putting MacBook Pro into sleep mode,

Yes, mine did that but it has stopped. Only thing I did was change around my power settings a bit. My wife actually returned here's for a new one as it would not go to sleep at all when you closed the lid

Bluetooth devices, especially non Apple ones, can cause this, such as a Bluetooth mouse or Bluetooth headset. If you are using Bluetooth try turning off the option in the Bluetooth preferences to 'Allow Bluetooth Devices to Wake Computer'.
