I would like to get a 3rd party wireless card for my PowerBook G4 1.67 because I'm tired of the poor wireless reception.

Ideally, I'd like to get something like an Orinoco w/ an antenna.

However, I've tried using 3rd party wireless cards with my PowerBook before and have not figured out how to disable the internal airport card and switch to the external 3rd party card (Linksys WPC54G). On older PowerBooks, I know a solution was to simply remove the airport card, but my PowerBook has airport integrated on the motherboard.

Does anyone know how to switch to the external card? Also, has anyone had success using an Orinoco Gold/Silver w/ antenna on a newer PowerBook?
