Has anyone had their estimated deilvery dates (for MBP) extended and then had them delivered 'early' when really the estimation was closer to the original. I just had my order extended from 2 days before I leave to 1 day after!!! Also I was wondering how accurate are the actual estimations(within ____ to ___ days??) I'm thinking this could be a clever scheme by apple to make it seem like they got it to us early and overwhelm us with surprise and happiness. What do YOU think

My PowerBook G4 is being replaced by Apple with a MBP due to mechanical flaw. They shipped it early AM overnight 1 day after it was ordered. When I started this process last week the wait time was to be 2-3 weeks before it shipped.

I think they are always conservative about delivery times, to be honest. Expectations are more important than even quality.... being in IT I realize this well. They must always meet or beat expectations to continue to be the #1 hardware company in terms of customer satisfaction.

Mine was due to ship on Monday, it's currently in Anchorage so safe to say it will be delivered at *least* a day early, probably a couple.

Of course I've gone and jinxed it now...

I ordered mine on 2/23, scheduled to ship on 3/23. delivery date of 3/30.

I e-mailed Apple a couple of times to whine about the delay, and they said they'd give me expedited shipping when it was ready.

On 3/14, I received notification it was shipped with a scheduled delivery date of 3/17. I started tracking the FedEx number. It left China on 3/14, arrived in Alaska on 3/14, and was IN MY HANDS on 3/15.

This still blows my mind. It took my fiance 8 days to get a check mailed from Minnesota to Indianapolis and I got a computer from China, via Anchorage, in less than 36 hours.
