Recently had a few bad sectors on my PB 2005 model, and it is not recoverable, so have to re-format.

So as all us now re-formatting is a simple process, except when you don't have your OS X original CD!

I can't find it anywhere, so have had to take matters into my own hands. I have found a copy of a .dmg on my home PC, and am going to burn it to disc for use on the Powerbook with Transmac (maybe some of you have heard of it maybe some of you haven't).

Hopefully this will work...but just wondering if it does burn, will it boot and then I can use disk utility on start-up?

It is not Tiger, the OS before, Feb 2005 purchase, so would it be possible to burn to CD-RW, or DVD-RW?

Thanks guys.
