Hi, I have a MacBook Pro, 2.16, 1Gb, 7200, 10.4.5. I also have a USB headset/microphone by
Lgitech that I use a lot with my other Macs. It has originally worked fine with this new one as
well, but then something happened and it just stopped working. The only thing I can think
of as far as the system changes between now and then was installation of the Developer
tools from the Apple DVD. A weird thing is that according to both System Preferences and Audio
MIDI Setup everything is normal, the device is recognized, it can be selected as either input
or output or both, yet there is no sound in the headset, and the microphone is not working
either. At the same time, the machine's own speakers and microphone are working fine, and
another headset that I have, a noise cancelling from Bose which is not USB, is also working.
Does anybody have a clue? Thank you.
