I spend a number of hours a day typing on my powerbook (1.5gig 15" alum book).
Am I alone in caring about the "action" of the keyboard on the powerbooks and macbook pros? I'm talking about how some of the keyboards on these machines (especially the powerbooks) are firm to the touch and some are soft or even "mushy".
Two questions:
1. can anyone shed light on this difference -- why are some powerbooks (especially the ones I come across in computers stores -- where the keyboards feel so much nicer!!!) softer/easier to use than others? And is there any way to tell (i.e., in the model number, date of manufacture, etc. whether a computer has one of these softer keyboards? (that is, if you're not there to actually test it...)
2. how are people finding the keyboard on the MacBook Pro? (They appear to be a bit more firm than the last PB's to come out, but not as firm as my PB (damn it!!!)
Or are these just a ridiculously stupid questions?!!!!
