Thats right, I has ordered MacBookPro 2.0 GHz from Australian store and received it within 28 hours. Had ordered it yesterday at 4am(AEST) and received it today that;s Tuesday at 10:15 am AEST.

Amazing!!!!

Has anybody experienced such promptness from apple???

I suppose you didn't configure it in any special way, right?

Sometimes Apple has some stock models in the warehouse ready to go. You order them and they basically get delivered immediately. As soon as you CTO a machine, the wait starts. My MBP (2.0GHz model with CTO HDD and RAM) just shipped (2.5 weeks after ordering) and it will take roughly another week to get from China to Europe and delivered to my office.

That's right Simon. But even then, it was kind of strange because ,

a) Was to shipped by road from Sydney to Melbourne, which to best of my knowledge requires about 10 hours.

b) and I received it within an hour of it being unloaded in melbourne.

All I can think of is that, Mac Book's aren't that HOT in land down under .
