So about a week ago, I opened itunes on my mac to listen to some music as I normally would through my tascam fw-1184 board. When I hit play, nothing happened, and the cursor just stayed there. I restarted the computer and things went back to normal.

Now, when I press play the same thing happens as before, but restarting does not solve the problem. If I unplug the board, the music plays through my powerbooks speakers fine.

I have reinstalled the driver software for the board to no avail. Any ideas?
(keep in mind NO sounds play through it)

When I attempt to playt hefiles through the mix board a very faint high pitched sound comes out of my powerbook in from the left side of the case.

if it plays thru yer speakers fine, and not thru the card..... and after a re-install of the card ( pull it out, reboot with no card. shut down, reboot with card} and you are getting the same effect, its the card... simple logics...... or to be right wing... it could be the slot....

This isn't a PowerBook topic. We have Peripherals and AV forums for a reason.

Furthermore, please omit "please help" and exclamation points from thread titles in the future. They are just noise. (I deleted them from this thread.)
