I've had so many more! I think it's to do with the screen whine rather than the left speaker whine.

Just thought id see if I'm alone on this! (The headache thing)

My whole autoimmune disorder thingy has gotten much worse since I got my MBP and I peed out a kidney stone last night without any vicodin...

A computer doesn't cause migraines. If you're that concerned about the whine, get earplugs or noise cancelling headphones. And a Maxalt or Topamax prescription from your doctor couldn't hurt either.

Yes I got more headaches when I was using it. I think it was a combination of the large DPI, the screen angle, the vertical viewing quality, and it had a silkscreen effect going on.

Did you try to reduce the screen brightness?
Too bright screens can cause headaches.

it's not the brightness - im a computing student and am at a screen all day so im used to it. i usually have the brightness turned down some what anyway because of the damn screen whine which decreases the lower the brightness

There could be frequencies of whine that you can't "hear" per se that are giving you headaches. I have had high frequency noise give me nasty headaches. If earplugs work, use them. Heck, you might even try to see if a dog reacts negatively to your MBP. Also, see if your migranes continue when the MBP is not used. Even if your migranes do go away, it could be psycosomatic, but still, it could be it. Heck, you might even check to see if, at your school, there is equipment for measuring sound frequency.

At any rate, you'd probably still get more headaches from a Dell.

I have been many more headaches lately. However I live in Georgia and the pollen season is in full swing. This just happens to coorespond with the timing of the Macbooks arrival.

Yeah, the high frequency pitch coming from the new Macbook Pro can cause headaches.

And what's up with the silkscreen effect on the new Macbook LCD? It's like hotspot from a projector where one part of the screen is brighter than the rest depending on the angle you are viewing it.

OR get a properly functioning laptop that doesn't whine...there's always *that* option.
