I have a DVI, 1Ghz, TiBook with 1 gig of RAM. I cannot get my Tiger DVD to install on it. In fact, it won’t even mount. It self ejects. When I put it in and use the “C” key or any other key sequence on start up, it ejects. The TiBook has the standard CD-RW/DVD ROM drive. The TiBook will mount and read any other DVD I put in it.

The Tiger DVD does mount on my desktop Mac.

I have read the Apple info on the Tiger install disk ejecting. None of that seems to apply to my situation.

I have fixed permissions and run Disk Warrior.

Can anyone help me out?:confused

Sounds like your Tiger install disk is messed up. Check it for scratches. You may need to get a replacement.

Is it the full store bought DVD or is it from another mac? Some DVDs are Mac specific. Apple does this so you don't share!
