I calibrated my MacBook Pro battery yesterday, but today after reading that a PMU reset has helped some heat issues, i gave it a whirl. Now I wonder: does resetting the PMU necessitate recalibrating the battery? I know draining the battery shortens its life, so I try not to do it too much.

Thankss!

Resetting the PMU and calibrating are two different operations that are not related. It's not necessary to reset the PMU if you calibrate the battery or vise versa.
