Hey folks.... just got a new MBP two days ago, and I love it! Luckily, it doesn't seem to be whining .

The display seems perfectly bright to me, don't get me wrong, but no brighter than the old powerbooks (at least when I was in the Apple Store comparing them). Am I just missing it?

if you were to compair add 2 bars to the power book thats how much brighter. enough to notice, but not too much that it's a shock
