Ifixit providing a straightforward way to replace my hard drive, however, once inserting the 1st installer disk the I went to "select a destination" and the hard drive wasn't there. I opened disk utility and did a verify disk, named it hard drive, and now when going back to the installer I get a red warning saying "You cannot install Mac OSX on this volume. You cannot start your computer using this volume"

Any help on this?

It's fixed. Got a great deal at Best Buy. A Seagate 60 gig, 5400rpm for $69.00. Restart, the HD was recognized and it's purring. My local mac/pc store quoted me $350 to replace and install the original drive. no thanks guys
