My alu 1.5GHz 15" Powerbook won't recharge.

The AC adapter seems to work powering up the PB but it won't recharge the battery.

Anyone has a clue?

Thanks.

Three possibilities thatI can think of:
(Listed in increasing order of pain)

1) Your AC adaptor is FUBAR
2) Your battery is FUBAR
3) The "DC In" board in your Powerbook is FUBAR

Take your PB to an Apple Store. Even if it's out of warranty, they ought to be able to plug it into a known good adaptor to see of that fixes things, and let you use a known good battery to see if that fixes things.

I have 2 batteries so it can't be the battery. It's the AC adaptor or the board.

I'm leaving tomorrow for the NAB and I'll need my Powerbook for the week. I'll get it checked out when I'll come back. It just means I won't be able to watch my «Arrested Development» DVD on the plane.

In the meantime if you have some clues, here's a screen capture.

Broken DC Connector. About $100 from your local Apple Store.

It says your power adapter is connected but 0 watts.
Have you reset the PMU?

I wen't to the Las Vegas Apple Store, they tested my Powerbook. It turns out it was my AC adapter, I was hoping it was not something else. I bought a new one and everything works fine.

Thank you all for your help.
