Hi,

Last week I ordered a MBP from The Apple Store UK. I customised it a bit and the ship time was 3 days (on or before 25th April 2006, with an expected Delivery date of 2nd May 2006, at time of ordering). I have just checked my Apple account and as of about 10am it has been shipped via TNT International Express. Now, my expected delivery date is 1st May 2006.

That of course is Bank Holiday Monday. From peoples experience, should I expect 1st May to be the delivery date? See its a Bank Holiday so I'm not going to be in work (nobody is) - which is where Ive asked for it to be delivered. Do TNT deliver on Monday's? When ordering I ticked the box that said "delivery address is a buisness" so they should know that there is a good chance that the business they are trying to deliver it to is going to be closed for Bank Holiday?

So - Uk guys, should I expect to take delivery of the MBP sometime this week?

I would expect it to be delivered on the Tuesday. I doubt TNT do Bank Holiday deliveries (unless it's available as a premium service.

If you have the consignment number, why not give them a call and check? If you don't have the number, Apple Store customer service should be able to check for you.

So you think its more likely to be next week rather then by the end of this week?

This week? It's always possible. But experience would lead me to expect it to come later, rather than earlier, than the shipping date.

Anyway, for your sake I hope it comes tomorrow

Yeah that's certainly due to the bank holiday.

My estimated delivery date was April 21st but it came on the 22nd. I suspect that had it not been for the bank holidays around Easter that I would have got it a few days sooner.

On your expected delivery date you should phone up TNT, quote them your delievry number and they'll tell you if it's on one of their trucks or not. I didn't do this untill the 21st when I was told I would get it that day before 5pm. Sure enough, It was delivered at 2.30pm.

Hope you get it soon!

Ive got the TNT shipping information.

It says that its being shipped from Shanghai in China!?. Why is it coming from China and not somewhere in the UK? I would have thought Apple would have warehouses or something in the UK where they store stock for the UK? There has been no change for 36hrs now - been sat in Shanghai according to the TNT info.

Im thinking of forgetting the whole chance of getting it for Friday. Unless the TNT tracking page aint updating and really its further on its journey then it states!.

Aye mine came from Shangai too. I very much doubt you'll get it by Friday.

25 Apr 2006 12:00 Pudong International Airport Potential Connection Delay
25 Apr 2006 10:25 Shanghai Shipped From Originating Depot
24 Apr 2006 10:03 Shanghai Consignment Received At Transit Point

Thats what it says on my tracking page. I rang up TNT today to see what was going on. They said that it left Pudong Airport at 2:45 Local Time (which would have been about 7am our time. So at least its left China lol.

I have pretty much got it out of my head that im getting it before weekend! Sucks!
