I recently got some guck under my command key to the right of my spacebar on my iBook G4, so I popped out the command key to get and found something under the spacebar, so I popped that out as well.....boy that was a mistake.

Since then I have been able to get all keys surrounding the spacebar to pop in and out of place, but the spacebar refuses. I have it halfway there, with the 3 main connections in place, but it is still very wobbly and rather annoying to type on. Any help with getting it back in place would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

hilson

Good luck..my spacebar on my G-3 iBook is gone. One of the pieces/connections underneath broke and the different stores that deal with Apples say you can't get them anymore. After a while the space bar cracked in half, being it was lose, so now I have to hit the little button with my thumb where the spacebar used to be. Not fun, but I am used to it now so I can type like normal.

Can't wait for the new Ibook/macbook release so I can get a new one!

If you can't get it back in you can always buy a new keyboard for the G4, on ebay, or Apple might be able to supply one.
