hey guys.

I'm curious as to how I can reformat my g4 powerbook (running 10.3, panther) because i'm giong to be selling it to a friend of mine to put the money towards a newer one (maybe the 17" ?? ohh my)

well, can anyone give me some assistance?

Boot with the install CD (or DVD) in the drive and hold down the "c" key. From the installer, run Disk Utility (select from menu) and erase the disk.

....then install OSX and don't reboot. That allows new owner to go through Welcome & setup...

do as above but make sure you choose to 'zero' the drive. Erasing the disk allows files to be recovered. Zeroing is the safer option
