Aloha, everyone was so helpful the last time I asked a question, and I thank you in advance for your help on this one:

I'm moving to Europe this summer and was warned by a friend that she had heard of people getting their laptops fried by the current even WITH an adaptor. Are there certain adaptors that are better than others? How big a risk is it? Any other suggestions relating to this?

Read the label on the apple power adapters. They are all capable of 220 volts. All you need is an adapter to get it to the right shape. I picked up the world adapter kit from an apple store on the open box table for $10.
