Hi all,

Well, I think I just made a big mistake by buying a Seagate ST1 microdrive
(5 GB) on eBay, thinking that I could fit it into a PCMCIA - CF converter and
use it as a secondary (backup) drive on my PowerBook. Well, of course the
drive does not fit into the converter, so I'm stuck...need some good input.
(appears that the converter takes CF I cards, while the drive is CF II)

I'm ready to sell the Seagate drive for $50 on eBay, if anyone is interested ))

But if you have any idea how the drive could be inseted into the Powerbook,
I'd really appreciate it...

Thanks,
m

So, uh, why not spend $5 more on eBay and buy a PC Card adapter that does support Type II cards? Or just cut the metal in the adapter to allow the bulge. There's no electrical difference.

D'oh, I did not realize there was such a thing as a Type-2 PCMCIA adapter...

Thanks,
