I am a recent convert from Windows notebooks to my shiny new MBP and have been very happy. My only complaint is the fuzzy text (which I have read is due to built-in text smoothing). I really miss the razor-sharp text, particularly in Office apps like Entourage. I have read articles about it and have tried changing the settings to disable smoothing on particular font sizes, but disabling it makes it loko even worse. This display is beautiful, so why can't it produce sharp small text at in 8-12 point fonts?

I find this really annoying as well. I cannot use Firefox because the font is so blurry - i have to use Safari which I really do not like as its not as half as customiseable as Firefox. Camino Also has the really bad blurry issue that FF has.

Using Tinkertool to disable the Font Smoothing on small fonts does indeed make it look even worse - fonts need a bit of smoothing, but not half as much as what some applications ply it with.

This is really an OS and applications topic, but in no way MBP-specific.
