Is there a plug-in for the macbook pro that allows me to view windows media player files without opening the program seperately?? WMP 9 comes with a plug-in but (i think) it doesnt work...

Microsoft Stopped making Windows Media Player for Mac's. the Plug-in you are refering to is called Flip4Mac. unfortuneatly for all of us intel people, they have yet to make it an Universal Binary. although they say it will be coming some time this month... but we'll see. for now you can use VLC player which is a UB. but it won't play the new incodes of WMV 3.0
