I want to order a loaded 15" MacBook Pro. I would get the 17" but I travel quite a bit and feel the 17" will be just a little too large. I want to get the 2.16GHz Core Duo processsor and 100GB 7200rpm HD, my two questions are this, first will the 7200rpm HD cause the MacBook Pro to get even hotter than the standard 5400rpm HD? From what I've read the MacBook Pro gets hot enough so I don't want to add insult to injury. Second the Apple Store near me sells an "ultimate" version of the MacBook with everything I want in it, I'm thinking it might still be smarter to buy it from the online store as I don't know when the units in the store were built and I've read that there might already have been revisions to it (you know, the whine and other things). I assume the upgraded online store systems are built to order so the chances of getting the latest changes are much better. Do you agree with this and is there any reason why it might be better to just buy it directly from the store near me?
Thanks in advance

The difference in power consumption between the two different drive speeds is negligible.

There are both older MBPs with no whine and newer MBPs with the whine, so I'd buy it at the Apple store nearby.

I presume you know that the price difference between the 2 GHz 15" and the 2.16 GHz 17" is only $300--once you add the 2.16 GHz option to the 15", you are paying the same as if you bought the 17"--which has an 8X double-layer superdrive, as opposed to the measly 4x superdrive in the 15" (along with other great stuff...)

Plus, Apple hasn't yet had enough time to resolve the "whine" issue, so it's hit or miss what you end up with, luck of the draw...
