Well I just received my second Macbook Pro (week 16) and it was another mixed bag.......

1. Whines even louder

2. Lid still uneven

3. Something trapped between the screen and backlight membrane (a new fault)

4. Uneven keyboard (especially eject key)

Apple store were very helpful again and will be sending another (3rd unit) so we shall see if its third time lucky!

Oh there was also the added bonus of a clump of long black hair trapped in the keyboard bezel......nice!

Was it curly too?

I strongly suggest everyone hold off on a MBP until they use the faster chips in them and can work out all these bugs. I mean this is absolutely ridiculous.

Well i'm quite glad its a dud as I can now upgrade to a 2.16ghz with a glossy screen and i'll be getting some cash back too.
