Until we get a 3 lbs sub-PowerBook, the 12-inch PowerBook will do.

This is a little off topic, but where is that view? Your location says DC but is that Rosslyn or looking over Arlington?

seriously it does. feels like laying in a field watching all the clouds go by, but when it is dreary outside like today...it sort of effects you as well.

an unsolicited suggestion for all of you who have a Mac and PC and have two keyboards and two mice.

Get a USB switch and share your keyboards and other peripherals. If you have separate screens, you don't need a KVM.

You just need a USB switch. I have a $15 pushbutton one that switches between a Win-laptop and my iMac.

Belkin makes a two port model that is only $30 on Amazon:

Belkin 2-Port USB switch

I didn't put the Amazon link because there is no image there. But here it is anyway:

Buy it on Amazon for $30

Thanks for the compliment! You won't be disappointed with the 12" AlPB. Sometimes I wish the Rev B of the 12" came out earlier (DVI is the main factor), I would have bought it in place of the 17 AlPB.

Anyone want to buy a 17" AlPB Rev A?

i tried to resist, but now it's show-off time for me too =)

here's my setup (working as a freelance graphic designer):

specs:
- 12" rev B 1ghz AlBook 768mb RAM & BT Mouse (sitting on a thin layer of glass to better absorb heat)

- to the right there's an evil wintel laptop (hooked up to my yamaha natural sound stereo underneath)

- under the desk is an old powermac 7300 hooked up to a iomega backup-drive

- 2 screens, one connected to the powermac, the other to the powerbook.

- on the desk there's the sonyericsson T610 and in my hand there's the Canon Digital Ixus 400 (used to shoot these pics).
both are must-get items to match the alu-look of your pbook =)
finally here and absolutely flawless:
powerbook 12" 1ghz rev b combo 768 mb ram bt-mouse

How does your BT Apple Mouse work with your 12" PB? I was concerned about interference with wireless. Any such problems?

I have been using the M$ bluetooth mouse for months now and there is no noticeable problems are far as interference.
