Just recieved my laptop back from Applecare. The logic board was replaced as well as the palm rest.

After my first reboot this is what I saw. I fixed it though

Nice Marware protection kit. I'm getting that for my MacBook Pro tonight. I'll post some pictures either in this thread or the MBP picture thread because it would be interesting to see the difference. Do you like the protection kit?

The Marware kit is great. Priced at $19.99 usd its a good addition to any Macbook or Pro. I've heard that it wont stop yellowing on white Macbooks but well see. I will keep the forum posted.

My local Apple store doesn't sell the kit. I had to call all over to get the kit and found a mac place that sells it. I heard it adds comfort for your wrists but who knows! I use an iLap, BT apple mouse, and BT keyboard so it will only benefit me for when I'm on the go.

Finally I have bought a canon powershot.
Here is my home office (I like it simple). The printer, the external burner, the backup drive and my iPod are in a sideboard.

Looks very stylish, I like it. One thing though - where's the cables to the peripherals?

Thanks.

The cables are in the table drawer. I get them out when I need them (just this morning I made a backup) which means all the peripherals are not permanently connected. For me a permanent connection is useless because I burn a dvd maybe once a month. Usually I have the stuff that I am working on on my Powerbook, on my iPod and on my office Thinkpad. So also a backup once a week is sufficient for me.

Internet is wireless as is my inkjet and the itunes connction to my yamaha stereo.

What counts is a clean desk, so I can get a book or a sheet of paper to draw sketches or write notes whithout cleaning before and thus interrupting my flow of thoughts.

Where might one find the light that's behind your powerbook?

Thanks!
