The other PowerBook of mine I just got yesterday so I do have pictures of it but I haven't uploaded them to my FTP yet. They'll be up in a few hours. The MX500 in that picture is connected to an eMac.
SHA-WING!!!!

The 1400cs. This one I just got and it's in perfect condition, really. For a laptop this old it's just in such great shape. Battery works fine too.

I got those pics too, they are very cool. One more thing I did to make the pics look better is I used Photoshop 7.0 (not Elements) and used the healing brush feature to remove the Apple Computer copyright wording at the bottom left of the pics. Looks kinda cheezy having those words on the desktop wallpaper.

Skypat: You have to upload the picture on either your own website or some other like Spymac. Then link the image to this forum. Not exactly the most efficient way, but that's how it works, as I understand it. This is why when you click on "Reply" on these threads, you might notice a link to various URL's. Hope that helps.

I have already gone through 3 sets of bamboo, they always get too tall. I wish I could prevent them from growing. I have my fish in there though and he seems to like em.
Ahh, yes, I actually have the exact same organizer. It's already filled. :-( I need more space and thus, another organizer. There was another one at Ikea I saw and liked and thought you might've had it.

As for the bamboo, I think if you just trim the tops from time to time, you'll be able to keep it short(er) and it shouldn't really harm the plant. Sort of like a bonsai tree. Hmmm, I want a bonsai.

And M.A.S. I like the setup and even more the color of your room. I really want my own place so I can go nuts with the paint. Alas, dorm rules restrict my creative potential.

Dark? No way dude! That's the coolest picture of your Powerbook of all the pics on this forum. It looks really dramatic because of the dark setting. The screen on the Powerbook and the iPod really look cool in the dark room.

Hey Phat Bastard -- nice setup!

I wanted to point out that in your picture, the square power adapter is laying on the table. With mine, I usually make it stand on the two hooks that protude for the cable and the power adapter gets less hot. If I have mine the way yours is in the picture, it gets *really* hot. I guess I'm just paranoid I'm going to burn down my house!

2 Questions for ya if you don't mind.

1) What is that glowing thing on the left side...looks like it's plugged into the usb port?

2) What is your powerbook sitting on?

Thanks,

The point about *having* a sub and two satellites is that the lower the frequency, the less you can tell where it's coming from.

So you can stick the sub anywhere you like, since you won't be able to discern the bass's physical location.

In theory.

I wish that I could post my setup but I don't have a camera. but I did want to tell you about a new toy I have. I went to the Apple store thinking about buying a iCurve. I started paying with it and found that it was too bouncy making it very difficult to use the keyboard so I started walking around and found something called the PodiumPad. It is a little stand that raises the powerbook up to adjustable levels and rotates 360 degrees so I bought it and I love it. I had never heard of it before so I thought I would spread the word. you can find it at the Apple store or go here, it is made by roadtools

Thanks for the kudos.

Good point about the power adaptor--I'll pay attention to how hot it gets. My desk is glass so it's relatively cool, but you never know..

It's a 4-port USB hub. I'm at work so I can't tell you the brand, but I'll get back to you on that one. Funny thing was, I didn't even know it would glow blue (I got it just because the thing is SUPER small). I plugged it in and "wow! That's cool!"

The PB is sitting on a Macally Icepad--it's great for raising the laptop up closer to eye level, and it's good for heat circulation.

Redecorating, so it's currently tidy enough to take photos...

Studio Display is connected to a Dual 867 MDD, AlBook is 1.25 Ghz minus Superdrive and with 60Gb HD. Photos taken with a Powershot G3. Spot the unreleased Sony camera and win a cookie, and if you spot the iPod can you please tell me where it is, I've put it down somewhere and can't find it
It's arrived - 15" PB 1.25Ghz - Damn is this a fine machine!

My humble setup.

G4 400 under the desk with a Mac SE, Sinclair Spectrum and ZX81. HP945 camera is superb new tool for work. My 2G iPod must be with my wife as I couldn't find it. My 2 FireWire drives work OK with Panther thank God!

My Palm m500 will go on ebay soon as I want a Tungsten E, and the watch is a 32mb USB one which is really handy.

It's from Ikea - can't remember the name of the range but there's loads of styles/extras/legs available for it. Was about 100 with those legs.
