This is a question for anyone in possession of a macbook. Is the screen and/or the laptop case prone to scratches?

Thanks

EDIT: I am interested in purchasing a WHITE macbook.

How would they know if their laptop is not even a day old. If there was a scratch on the case or screen after only 7 hours, Apple would be in deep ****.

In case you aren't aware, Apple also produces a product called the IPOD. Ipods are well known for scratch-prone materials used to cover the base and screen. These ipods scratch within minutes of opening the box. With the introduction of the gloss-covered screen, it is certainly plausible that the Macbook's screen may be made with the same materials.

Well all I can say is I had a gateway with a glossy screen and never had a scratch on the screen.

They certainly don't use the same material as the iPod, but even if they did, they iPod is something you put in your pocket and handle. You don't do that to your computer screen (presumably).

Now that the macbook has been out for a week or so, can anyone provide some more insight on this?
