I tried the application from:

However, the CPU temp constantly jumps betwee 28C and 34C. Always 28C and 34C. Never shows anything else, despite time or CPU load.

The frequencies seem to work fine, however. I've seen values from 1333 to 1667, but most of the time, it's on 1500 (I have a 1.83 MBP).

I have rebooted (not that I should have to) but I've never seen a reading higher than 34C and I know that even the outside of my case is hotter than that.

My MBP is week 12. Perhaps the application doesn't work on all MBPs?

Neither the people who did CoreDuoTemp or the Increw people seem to have any means of support...

TM won't work on a MB/MBP unless you also use the Speedit kext.

I just downloaded the newly released 0.6 version of CoreDuoTemp. It never asked for my password and showed a steady 20C, which is utterly impossible.

I've also downloaded the original Speedit app, but I don't want to install it until I know how to uninstall it. Does anyone know how to unto those weird sudo commands?

PS. Am I really the only one for whom the CoreDuoTemp app doesn't work at all?

EDIT: Today, the bloody application alters between 19C and 25C every five seconds. What the hell is it doing?

Did I miss the instruction that you needed version 1.0.1 of the MBP firmware for this? Why would you need it, btw? Seems weird. Also, I installed the 1.0.1 firmware update AFTER the SMC update, which auto-downloaded yesterday... weird that it worked...

Anyway, I think I have accurate temp measurments now.
