When does everybody think that Apple will revise the Macbook Pro? And what do you think they will upgrade? I am currently debating whether I want to purchase now or wait. I personally think the wait could definitely be worth it. They could at least bump up the specs and add Blu-Ray. I think that would be well worth the wait if they did. What do you all think?

Why on earth would they add Blu-Ray now? I think they'd be better off ironing out all the problems first rather than throwing more features at it.

If I'm not mistaken they just upgraded the MBP at the same time as releasing the MacBook. You can now get a glossy screen and the processors are faster.

I'd expect that Apple will be doing a lot more of these 'quite' revisions now that they're using Intel chips. No more waiting for the New G4 of G5 chips and then making a big fanfare about it - you just don't see much of that going on in the rest of the industry.

Why would they use Blu Ray? First off I think all of the problems with it have been ironed out. Sony already has a notebook out with a Blu Ray drive and PS3 is coming with one in November. Apple has already stated that they are supporting Blu Ray as well. I think Blu Ray would kick ass personally. You could watch HD movies with a BR drive.

Does the "upgraded" MBP list the machine model different from the old MBP?
iMac 24" | Core 2 Extreme 2.8GHz | 4GB RAM | 500GB HD
PowerBook G4 15" HR | 1.67GHz | 2GB RAM | 100GB HD
