I have a macbook pro and its extremely hot I cant even keep it on my lap, it also makes my wrist sweat uncontrollably when using it, its crazy I cant even hold my hand on the top left corner of the laptop because its like holding your hand on hot cement on a sunny summer day, even if I could keep it on my lap I wouldn't because I want to have kids someday and putting a hot peice of metal over my crotch is going to help, this is also my 2ed macbook pro and both had problems im going to be going through this with apple and keep you posted on the updates. after reading the manual I found out that apple expects me not to ever keep the "notebook" (i guess its not a laptop) on my lap and to have it on some kind of surface and given airspace under the laptop, is it me or is this really unrealistic, so we are starting a petition for apple to address the macbook heat problem

You should change the title if you are refering to Macbook Pro; your title is targeting Macbooks.
Judging from Apples recent history with laptops however, you may have predicted a trend:

Not to mention Macbook whining:

Here we go again...

It'll be interesting to see how many others report the heat and whine. As of now, I've seen a lot more "no problems!" than anything else, but it's still early. <crosses fingers>

The fact that the heat issue in the first link above was so bad it caused his system to kernel panic repeatedly until he put his MacBook by the A/C sounds like he got a lemon!
