Hi,

I just made a quick list of problems with my mac book pro and thought I'd see if I could solve any of them on here!

Here ya go:

Laptop keeps turning off randomly when battery charged (while using it) and then the battery leds will show only one light

The metal casing on the battery is peeling away because the laptop has been so hot that the glue has melted.

When coming out of standby it can take as many as 5 attempts to reconnect to the wifi internet even though the icon says its connected.

The screen produces a high pitch noise at anything above half brightness which has been giving my headaches.

There is then a buzzing noise that comes on and off randomly.

The T and Y buttons on the keyboard aren't workign as well as the others and require extra strength

The charger cable is showing some wires just before the magnetic connector

Won't connect to networks over ethernet

I'm in the UK and have been trying to find some way of getting support for all of these on the apple site but I'm not having much luck!

Thanks a lot

Did you try sending it back to Apple to get it fixed?

No - I don't know how - I ordered it from the website and I've been looking at the support pages and it says to take it to one of the repair centers - then asks where I live but the form comes back with USA outlets - and I live in the UK

Here are some UK contact numbers.

http://www.apple.com/uk/contact/

There is a known issue with your battery and is being recalled; they will replace it free of charge...at least in the US. The high pitch sound from the brightness can also be fixed.

Rhodesy, I hope it works out for you! With this many problems, I think that Apple should simply replace the laptop. But I'm not sure if they will do that... Keep us updated

There is an issue with the early revisions of the logic board, any board earlier than Rev. D have a noisy capacitor, and are subject to slight overheating. The sound from the screen is the inverter which controls the backlight.

On top of the above problems, the laptop often wont come out of standby and the front of the laptops casing is warping outwards yet apple haven't offered to send me out a new one!

It's been sent to the local repair center but i didnt think they replaced the casing ever?
