- What's the difference between the MBP's X1600 Mobility vs the iMac's X1600?

- Is it worth to get 256 MB VRAM instead of 128?

1. I don't think there is a difference.

2. In my opinion, no.

I'd imagine you'd be better off getting 2 gigs of RAM instead of the extra VRAM.

With regard to your first question, I believe there is a difference that was discussed over in the Game section of the Macworld forums--I don't know myself but you might want to check there.

As for the second question, IMO, definately get the 256 MB of VRAM especially if you get the Macbook pro and plan to play games with it. You can't upgrade the VRAM in the macbook pro once you commit to your system but you can upgrade the system ram later. Future games will only demand more resources, so I would imagine you would want to "future-proof" your machine somewhat.
