So I was just wondering if it's possible to use the remote for Front Row and use it for a PowerPoint presentation. That would make my life much easier than to call out "next slide" or walk back to the computer just to press the arrow key.

With PowerPoint? No.

At least it doesn't work with Office OSX on my machine.

But it will work with Keynote. And really, isn't that what you should be using?
