Remodeled iPod (uh, I mean Apple) Store in Singapore

I happen to be on my first trip to this lovely land today, and I walked right by -- and into -- this newly restyled store to take a look at the MB.
Once I got past the enormous number of people in the ipod section, I walked around to find a few macs. No MBs in sight, but they were giving gift cards away for those making preorders. From the looks of it, there was plenty of interest in the new MBs.
In the store layout, the laptops are front and center, and the desktop machines are all pushed to the side. No genius bar, but instead a (closed for the day) Apple service center counter at the back.
I'd estimate the store was 30% laptops, 60% ipod stuff, and 10% desktops. I think they only had 4 printers to show. If this is the future design for these stores, they're most definitely 'Apple' stores -- with some macs thrown into the mix.

Hmm, as far as I know, there are no Apple owned retail outlets in Singapore. I'm guessing it was a third party retailer. I have noticed that the resellers have increasingly moved towards an 'Apple Store' kind of design in their own stores.

you went to the sale on saturday?? There was a sale for the iPod Nanos, something like S$180 only. Me and my friend went but we were too late, all redeemed. lol
iShop, Club 21 is very nicely laid out, with a few more apple computers than Applecenter Orchard. It's also nicer because of the Club 21 association, where u can get discounts from other Club 21 shops ( Comme Des Gascons, Versace, Yves Saint Laurant amongst others).
Macbooks will be in in 2 weeks time. At least it ain't as bad as Leeds (where I'm heading for studies). I went to the Applecenter there during March and wanted to enquire whether they could service Macbook Pros. They stared at my astonished, 'cos they hadn't recieved theirs yet! They were quaking in their boots cos they hadn't seen one yet and already someone may want to send theirs in for repairs. lol.

This forum is for discussing Apple's pro laptops, not retail outlets. This thread has basically nothing to do with computers.
