i tried to uninstall the microsoft promo version of office yesterday but ran into some problems. this is my first mac, so pardon if i sound like a total newb. what i did was go into the office folder and click on "uninstall office". duh, sounds OK so far. but then the uninstall program got to this point where i was supposed to click on the office programs i wanted to uninstall, but i couldn't click anything. there were no options to click. so i hit continue, and it said you haven't chosen anything to uninstall. huh?

so do i have to run the programs before i uninstall them? that seems stupid. any help would be appreciated. i want to free up as much space on the drive as i can. 30 gb free from a 60 gb HD without having installed any programs or media myself seems crazy.

Just grab the whole office folder in the Applications folder, and drag it to the trash, and empty the trash. Done - uninstalled. The same is true for nearly all other Mac applications - no need to run an uninstaller

I think you can just drag the Office folder to the trash if you haven't run any of the programs. The uninstaller is just to remove some of the stuff that Office puts in other parts of your hard disk when the programs are first run.

C'mon, MuadD'ib!

I thought you were supposed to "know our ways as though you had been born to them"?
